Weeping Willow
Pre-colonial folk traditions reflect a profound understanding of coexistence with nature, rooted in human reality. Contemporary spaces, however, offer a critical lens to understand this context holistically. Our disconnection from nature and being, rather than limitations, hinders this understanding, making such exploration a sociological necessity. Through sculptural formalism, I aim to embody philosophical discourse, reimagining the tree as a symbol of nature’s emotions in a contemporary context. Inspired by the magical spaces of folk and mythological stories, my work seeks to create forms rooted in local myths, fostering an interactive visual language that engages communities culturally and meaningfully.
